The Memovox, introduced in 1950, epitomized the watchmaker’s philosophy of “reminding, notifying, and waking up.” During the post-World War II economic recovery, the Memovox, aptly named “The Voice of Memory,” was designed to assist business professionals in recalling their meetings through its distinctive chiming mechanism. With its elegant and timeless design, this manually wound mechanical watch distinguished itself by incorporating an additional crown to control the alarm function. Notably, the Swiss authorities of the Canton of Vaud, where the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture is situated, bestowed this watch upon the renowned Charlie Chaplin in 1953.
